From being the developer of contemporary gaming classics like Half-Life and Dota to building the industry’s largest PC game store with Steam, Valve’s development has been jaw-dropping. The Washington-based company, which has spent the last ten years trying to make room in the hardware world, surprised many with the Steam Deck.

Valve is allegedly working on a new VR glasses now. The news about this study emerged thanks to the patent applications filed this week. Rumors have been swirling lately that Valve is working on VR glasses. Some developers even found codes for a VR headset called Deckard while examining the Steam code. The new codename for Valve VR glasses is thought to be Deckard.

A patent application filed by Valve in December 2021 has surfaced as of June 16, and it includes plans for a new VR headset that could form the basis of a standalone unit. It’s a patent application, so while it highlights the fact that Valve is still actively working on VR, it doesn’t guarantee that such a headset exists or will exist.
