Netflix Announces Extraction 2

Netflix, the leading brand of internet broadcasting, won great acclaim in 2020 with Extraction, the production starring Chris Hemsworth. The production, which satisfies the adrenaline especially with its action scenes, was talked about for a long time.

Netflix announced Extraction 2 at its virtual event TUDUM. “Tyler Rake (his character in the movie) is alive and well and ready for the next mission,” Hemsworth, who starred in the movie, said in the announcement.

The number of people who thought that we said goodbye to the character of Tyler Rake at the end of the first movie was not few. In the new trailer, we see that Rake is definitely alive, but how healthy he is is open to discussion. Despite his injuries and fatigue, the character, who jumped from a very high height into the water, somehow manages to resurface.

According to the figures announced by Netflix, Extraction was watched in 90 million households in the first four weeks of its release last year, leaving another popular production at that time, Tiger King, by a wide margin. Due to the success of the movie, Netflix announced that a sequel would be shot 1 month after the production was released. Filming of Extraction 2 started this month in Czechia.

Extraction was the first film by Sam Hargrave, who was also the stunt coordinator of Avengers: Endgame. Joe Russo, one of the directors of Avengers: Endgame, accompanied Hargrave in the script of the movie. Anthony, the other of the Russo brothers, was among the producers of Extraction. Hemsworth is also known for his character as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Extraction is currently available to watch on Netflix. Despite the announcement, the platform has not yet given a vision date for the sequel. You can watch the short announcement video released by Netflix below.
