Apple opened pre-orders for the MacBook Pro with the M2 processor on its official website as of 15:00 today, but users who wanted to buy both the higher-spec version of the Pro and the Air were in for a big surprise. High RAM versions of MacBook Pro with M2 processor ship later
As Apple has officially announced, starting today (June 17), pre-orders are open for MacBooks with M2 processors, and users can pre-order MacBooks with up to 24GB of memory and up to 2TB of SSD storage. However, when computers with different storage areas and RAM are selected, the delivery dates also differ.
The shipping release date for the MacBook Pro model with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage appears to be June 24, as in the official statement. However, for versions with 512GB , 1TB or 2TB storage, the earliest shipping date seems to be July 1st . While the delivery date of the MacBook Pro with 16 GB RAM appears to be June 24, the situation is even worse for users who want to order the model with 24 GB RAM . The shipping date for this computer appears to be August 1st at the earliest .
The reason for this supply problem in the MacBook Pro is not known exactly, and Apple has not made a statement on this issue.
Pre-order closed for MacBook Air with M2 processor
MacBook Air , with a new design and a powerful processor, is expected to be available for pre-order starting in July. Apple hasn’t given an exact date, and pre-orders for the MacBook Air may not start until the last week of July after this MacBook Pro shipping issue. In this case, the shipping date may reach the beginning or even the end of August.
