ZeroAvia, developer of hydrogen-electric propulsion systems for commercial aviation, has entered into a new agreement with zero-emission regional turboprop aircraft leaser Monte. As a result of the deal, Monte will purchase ZA600 hydrogen-electric powertrains from ZeroAvia.

100 powertrains to be provided

Monte is designed to support 5 to 20 seat capacity airframes from ZeroAvia by 2024 and 600 kW ZA600 powertrain powered by gaseous hydrogen built into light tanks will buy the drivetrain.

The company will purchase up to 100 powertrains and install it on existing and new Cessna Caravan, DHC-6 Twin Otter, Dornier 228 and HAL-228 aircraft.
