In a statement in the letter sent to the executives, “Elon Musk’s behavior in the public sphere has become a frequent distraction and embarrassment for us, especially in recent weeks.”
SpaceX employees stated that they were uncomfortable with the company’s most visible name and SpaceX’s face behaving in this way. According to the letter, every tweet Elon Musk shared seems like a public share of the company, and this is a big problem that needs to be resolved.

SpaceX COO Gwynne Shotwell supported Musk in a company-wide email. Thinking that the accusations are wrong, Shotwell stated that Musk’s statements reflect his individual opinions. Still, let’s remind that Elon Musk remains silent.
