As it is known, Microsoft received harsh criticism from many users by requiring the use of TPM 2.0 in the new operating system Windows 11. Earlier this year, AMD, which detected a new fTPM problem on certain Windows 10 and Windows 11 PCs running Ryzen processors, announced that a new BIOS update is ready to solve the problems experienced today.
To be shared by manufacturers soon
The aforementioned problem in the Firmware Trusted Platform Module (fTOM) application, which removed AMD’s need for a separate TPM, was causing stuttering and freezing problems on certain systems as it is known. Promising users for a new fix, the red team had temporarily solved the problem with the use of external TPM, but users had to pay extra for this 14-pin module.

Keeping its word with the new announcement, AMD recommends users to check the motherboard manufacturers’ support pages for the new BIOS update. However, the new update will be distributed as AGESA version 1207 or higher in the motherboards’ update notes.
