LG Display to supply micro-OLED display for Apple’s second-generation mixed reality headset

Although Apple’s first mixed reality headset hasn’t debuted yet, information about the second generation has started to come. According to reports in the South Korean press, LG Display is preparing to supply a micro-OLED display for the second-generation hybrid headset, which the Cupertino company plans to launch in late 2024.

The news served by The Elec internet portal includes information that LG Display has ordered equipment from Sunic System. The company will use the equipment to design and manufacture a micro-OLED display for Apple’s second-generation mixed reality headset. It should be noted that the screens to be used in the first generation will be provided by Sony.

LG expects a big order in the second generation
