We expect Apple to announce the iPhone 14 series in September or October. However, the iPhone 14 may not be the only model to be announced at the end of the year. Recent leaks suggest that the company is working on the iPad Pro with the M2 processor.
iPad Pro with M2 processor is coming in September
It is stated that Apple, which will announce the iPhone 14 series next fall, will also present the iPad Pro with M2 processor. According to the new claim, the company may refresh the iPad Pro with the M2 and even MagSafe before an all-new model for the first quarter of 2023.
Like the recently announced MacBook Air and Pro, the iPad Pro equipped with the M2 chip may not be far away. According to the claim of Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will reveal the iPad Pro refresh at the event to be held at the end of the year.
Previously, analyst Ross Young had stated that the 14.1-inch mini LED iPad Pro will arrive in 2023. Young also suggested that new iPad Pros could be introduced later this year. The new claim from Mark Gurman supports this information.
Announced in April 2021, the iPad Pro is currently powered by the M1 processor. So it’s no surprise that the new models feature the M2, which surfaced at WWDC last week.
Gurman also suggested that, like the iPhone 12 and 13, the iPad Pro refresh will take advantage of MagSafe charging. The new iPad, which will have Apple’s magnetic charging technology, may also herald larger chargers.
Finally, Gurman said that some changes will be made by the camera as well. Currently, the iPad Pro has a dual camera setup of 12 and 10 Megapixels. Let us remind you that the details about the new cameras are not yet clear.
