Blizzard released Diablo Immortal on Android, iOS and PC earlier this week, nearly four years after it first announced the game. Shortly after the game went mobile a day early, gamers with Samsung phones started complaining about technical issues on Reddit and other community forums. According to complaints, Diablo Immortal is not playable on some devices with Samsung’s own Exynos chipsets, and one of the most obvious issues is textures not loading properly.
A Blizzard spokesperson said in a statement on the subject, “We are investigating issues with some Samsung Galaxy devices using Exynos chipsets. For now, we can disable downloads for these phones. “We apologize for this and will work to have a fix and ready as soon as possible.”
Affected phones include older devices like the Galaxy S10, Note 10 and A51 5G, but some people with newer models like the Galaxy S22 are also complaining of texture issues. If you have a Qualcomm-equipped version of one of these phones, you can download and play the game without any problems.
