The latest beta update of the Samsung Health app contains new information about the Galaxy Watch 5. With the beta update, we learned that the Galaxy Watch 5 will be offered in two versions, standard and Pro. In addition, the new update shows that the smartwatch will include a long-awaited new feature.
Temperature sensor surprise in the new Galaxy Watch 5!
In the beta update of Samsung’s health tracking application, it has been revealed that the Galaxy Watch 5 series will come with a ‘temperature sensor’. A Reddit user revealed that after Samsung Health’s beta update, there is an option called “skin temperature during sleep” within the app.
As the name suggests, this feature will monitor body temperature during sleep. It was quite a surprise that the temperature sensor feature appeared in the beta version of the application. Because Samsung stated in a previous statement that the temperature sensor is not at the forefront of the brand’s plans. For this reason, it was thought that the temperature sensor feature would not be offered on the Galaxy Watch 5.
The beta update of the health app has also confirmed the Galaxy Watch 5 and Pro names. With this detail, we learned that there will not be a “Classic” version in the new generation of the brand. While the resulting images include the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, there is no detail about the Classic model.
The health tracking application of the Korean company had previously revealed the brand’s new products. Introduced last year, the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic were revealed with the Samsung Health App. Again, with the update to the beta version of the application, we had the opportunity to see Samsung’s new watches about 1 month before the introduction.
The Korean manufacturer has not yet made an official statement about the new smartwatch models. We expect the new Galaxy Watch 5 series to be introduced in August. So what do you think about Samsung’s smart watch models? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
