Apple is preparing to organize the Apple Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC), or as it is known in our country, the Apple World Developers Conference this month. One of the innovations that we may encounter here is said to be the multitasking feature that will come in the new iPadOS version.
What does iPadOS 16 promise with multitasking?
iPads have always been a device that we would like to have in our lives for playing games, watching TV shows and movies or doing simple tasks. Many students choose relatively affordable models for classroom, school and personal use. Of course, we should not forget the Pro models and the advanced features they offer.
However, there are some limitations that prevent the development of iPads, which are among the world’s best-selling products. Of course, after seeing the recently introduced Pro models with the M1 processor, we made sure that these limits were not on the hardware side.
So these devices face some limitations due to iPadOS software evolving from iOS. Although Apple has been trying to overcome this for a long time, it has not yet come up with a system that can rival Windows and macOS.
However, according to the latest leaks, an important step will be taken in this direction. With iPadOS 16, Apple will put multitasking support in the form people need, not what they want. In other words, it will now go beyond dividing the screen into two and showing a third application that opens as a small window on it.
According to the claim of Mark Gurman, who was famous for his leaks that came out in the past and that were correct, Apple is working on a feature where we can move applications as we want and adjust their size with this new version.
We will also be able to instantly see which applications are open and switch between them. It may sound like we are describing windows windows and the start menu. However, if this happens, an important step will be taken towards becoming a MacBook alternative.
Thanks to the keyboard and mouse support offered, the user experience will be moved one step further, as in every new version. But still, let’s point out that the real competitor is not their own laptops, but Microsoft’s Surface Pro models.
