TikTok is testing a feature that removes buttons and descriptions from videos

TikTok is testing a new feature to improve its users’ experience on the platform. The application introduced Clear Mode, which offers a viewing experience free of all buttons and text on the screen, to certain users while viewing a content.

Contents can be focused more easily

First noticed by users and shared by social media consultant Matt Navarra, Clear Mode eliminates distractions on the screen while users watch videos on TikTok.

When the new mode is activated, details such as username, content description and audio information on the screen will be hidden. At the same time, the like, comment and share buttons will not be on the viewing screen.

When Clear Mode is enabled Users will be able to access content-related hideouts via a pop-up window with a button on the bottom right of the screen. While the feature is currently being tested with certain TikTok users, it is not yet known when it will become widely available.
