PUBG: Update 17.2 of BATTLEGROUNDS is now live. Update 17.2 highlights the big start of the 1v1 Arena in Training Mode, where players can challenge 1v1 duels. Alongside these, Update 17.2 introduces stability updates for the 5.56 Selected Sniper Rifles (SNT) and Mortars, along with updates to the scout scope.
PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS Features Coming with Update 17.2:
1v1 Arena in Training Mode: 1v1 Arena is now available in Training Mode to meet all kinds of combat practice in an intriguing 1v1 environment. Players can go through 1v1 rounds with an opposing player or watch intense battles to see who really is the best on the team.
Scouts Update: Previous patch notes indicated some major and minor changes to the lookout scope in the future. The ability to automatically mark and track enemies with the scouts continues to perform too strongly, causing our players to stress more than they enjoy their experience. Therefore, the enemy detection range has been reduced from 1000m to 600m and the white passive marker will not appear automatically in close view mode. Please visit the patch notes to see all the changes made to the scout scope.
Weapon Balances: Update 17.2 introduces changes to 5.56mm SNTs, specifically the MK12 and Mini14. Players have been having trouble using it since the damage update. Therefore, the recoil reset speed value has been improved to maintain stability, as with the Mini14. Mini14’s damage has also been increased from 47 to 48. After the launch of the exclusive Taego-only mortar, our team gathered valuable player feedback and decided to implement changes to unlock the hidden potential of the air cannon. It can now be placed on all terrains except where the placement angle is unsafe or over water. The mortar will also be available in regular matches, on all maps except Haven, and will now take up space in the inventory slot.
