Reactions 2.0 is on the way
Currently, those using the stable version of the app cannot see which photo has been reacted without opening the album. Thanks to this update, which will be released in the future, it will be possible to learn which reaction was given to each photo from the reaction information screen.
In addition to all this, WhatsApp is reportedly working on Reactions 2.0, which will allow you to react with any available emoji. This feature is currently under development.
