Pixel Notepad, which is expected to be Google’s first foldable smartphone that has been rumored for a long time, unfortunately seems unlikely to be released this year. Technology enthusiasts have to wait 1 more year for this phone.
According to leaks, the Google Pixel Notepad has been delayed to 2023. While this is bad news for technology enthusiasts who are excitedly waiting for this new model from Google, it can be considered both good and bad news for Samsung. If the decision to postpone is correct, it means that Samsung will not face a formidable competitor for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. The bad news is that Samsung Display’s foldable panel shipments will drop for 2022. If Google doesn’t release its foldable phone this year, Samsung Display will likely ship fewer panels.
It is not known why Google delayed its foldable smartphone. There may be problems in the supply chain, there may be problems in the quality control part, or things may not go as desired in the software integration. Nobody knows this for now…
