The phone concept, which we saw in the smartphone market for a while but didn’t catch on, spread to the computer components industry. MSI Project Zero completely cleans up the look of the motherboard from the inputs.

What is MSI Project Zero?

Recently, system builders who give importance to appearance do not want the power connections or cables of the motherboard to be seen. Taking this into account, MSI has developed a new concept called Project Zero.

MSI Project Zero is based on the company’s MEG Unify motherboard platform and is estimated to be the Z690 version with 4 channel DDR5 DIMM modules. All ports, SATA and power connectors on the motherboard are located at the back. Thus, a clean image was created on the front.

The cable-free motherboard look will certainly appeal to many consumers, but how to lay the cables in the tight rear space can be an issue. In addition, motherboards specially developed for connections facing opposite directions, such as Gigabyte Stealth, may have difficulty in providing this. It is not yet known whether MSI Project Zero will be implemented.
