Instagram is working on an innovation that will increase privacy. According to the news of mobile application developer Alessandro Paluzzi, users will be able to prevent the number of followers from being seen by others.
Unveiling the innovations that will come to social media applications before they are available, Paluzzi shared the screenshot of the new feature. “Instagram is working on the ability to hide the number of followers on the profile,” he wrote on Twitter. So how will the hide follower count function work?
Instagram will remove the number of followers from the profile
The user will be able to keep his followers private only if he wishes. When the new optional feature is activated, Instagram will remove the “Followers” tab of the relevant account from the profile. In this way, no one other than the owner will be able to see how many people and who is following the account.
Instagram will also hide common followers. A profile that you currently have a joint follower with has the message “x and others are following”. When the new feature of Instagram comes to life, it will only write Followed by others. So you won’t be able to see your common followers with him.
Mobile application developer Alessandro Paluzzi stated that the new feature is under development. It also means that changes may be made in the future or may never be made available. Of course, Instagram’s roof company Meta will make the final decision.
Changed its logo
While Instagram continues to add new features, it recently made a minor revision to its logo. The social media company, which also introduced the font called “Instagram Sans”, made a color change rather than design in the new logo.
