Nvidia, which has been producing GPUs for data centers and servers for many years, is looking for more efficient ways to cool computers and components in data centers. Normally, cooling in data centers is generally done by air, but Nvidia wants to change this with its new GPU.

Liquid-cooled Nvidia A100 introduced

Nvidia introduced the liquid-cooled A100 graphics card accordingly. Nvidia stated that the liquid-cooled A100 consumes 30% less energy while doing the same job compared to the air-cooled version. In addition, the liquid-cooled A100 uses a single PCIe slot, unlike the regular A100. The liquid-cooled Nvidia A100 is expected to go on sale towards the end of the year.

The A100 GPU used in artificial intelligence models will not be the only move Nvidia makes for the transition to liquid-cooled solutions. Nvidia is considering producing the liquid-cooled H100 Tensor graphics card next year.
