Last Friday, Nissan unveiled its most affordable electric car to date. The Sakura is a cute electric mini car with a base price of just under $14,000 (2,333,100 yen).
Aimed at the Japanese market, where city cars are popular, Sakura comes with top-notch features for its category.
But what was most intriguing about the mini car was the way Nissan introduced it to the world. Following the initial physical reveal at the company’s headquarters in Yokohama, the automaker also unveiled a metaverse.
You can watch the opening in the video below:
Nissan’s metaverse experience is not limited to the opening. Sakura will be showcased in the VR Nissan Crossing showroom to provide a digital opportunity for consumer engagement.
