While the electric transformation in automobiles brings with it smart cars that are supported by artificial intelligence and are in constant communication with the world, we may encounter serious problems in these cars from time to time. One of these problems happened to a Tesla owner recently.
In Canada, a driver named Jamil Jutha suddenly had a problem with his Tesla Model Y while driving normally on the road. The 2021 model vehicle suddenly lost power and completely shut down. Afterwards, smoke started to enter the vehicle’s air intakes.

Tesla Model Y’s normally touch and electrically opened doors It could not be opened because the vehicle was closed. The panicked driver, unaware of the mechanical system Tesla put into the vehicle for emergencies at that moment, kicked the vehicle window directly and threw himself out. The vehicle was engulfed in flames after a while.
Jutha, who made a statement after the incident in question, stated that he did not know why the incident happened. “Suddenly my battery started to smoke. My car caught fire.” Using his expressions, Jutha suggested that the mechanical system for emergencies in Tesla is not very suitable for such situations.
A firefighter who spoke after the incident said they were lucky that Jutha had the strength to kick him out of the window. On the other hand, the source of the fire in the vehicle has not been disclosed yet. Many people who watched the video also pointed out that the fire may not actually have started in the battery.
Before this event, another Tesla Model Y had started to burn in the USA just last week. The incident last week was also reflected in the cameras as follows:
