Samsung launched its foldable phones Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 models a while ago. With the arrival of these devices, the idea was that the company was moving away from the Note series. On top of that, a recent patent turned the situation around a bit. At this point, it is expected that the Galaxy Note will come with a major update. The new name is thought to be Galaxy Flex Note.

In July, Samsung’s subsidiary Samsung Display registered a trademark for the Galaxy Flex Note name. At this point, the company seems to want to design a smartphone with a wraparound and outward folding screen and S Pen, called the ‘Wraparound Display’ device.

Samsung’s new patent points to a foldable Galaxy Note

The new patent obtained by Samsung states that the device in compact form will look like a normal phone when the screen is folded. When viewed from the back, we see that the surrounding screen occupies half of the rear panel. Users can increase the size of the phone by opening the screen, as with any foldable phone. In this respect, it resembles a tablet.

Patent contains special magnetism for S Pen

The most important feature of the design of the device is that it contains a special area for the S Pen. Therefore, the phone will include a special magnetic housing support. Since the area where the S Pen will be located will be located at the back of the screen, it is expected that there will be a difference in thickness. It is thought that it was designed that way for a purpose.

When the screen of the device is folded, the S Pen will be easily placed in this area. Thus, it can be easily removed when it is switched to tablet form. In addition, when you open the phone, the magnetism prevents the pen from falling immediately.

It is noteworthy that the camera module is not included in much detail in the patent images. However, we see that the company has placed a dual camera in the upper right corner just below the screen.
