Production of Galaxy Z Flip and Fold 4 begins soon

Having achieved good sales success with the foldable Galaxy Z Flip and Fold series, Samsung will soon introduce the new phones of the series to users. According to what was shared by The Elec, the company has started parts production of the phones, which are expected to go on sale in the second half of 2022.

Panel production will be increased

Planning to produce more than 10 million foldable panels for Flip and Fold series phones by the end of the year, Samsung will also increase its production line in Vietnam factory from 7 to 10. However, the company, which plans to increase its panel production from 1.4 to 1.5 million to 2 million, is expected to allocate 70 percent of these panels for the Flip 4 series and 30 percent for the Fold 4 series.

Aiming to ship 10 million foldable phones by the end of this year, the South Korean-based technology giant will increase the share of foldable phones in the global smartphone market to 1 percent if it reaches the set target. In addition, the company, which keeps the profit margin at the level of 20 percent in the existing foldable models, can reduce the profit margin up to 15 percent in order to maintain the affordable price advantage.
