The genius billionaire Elon Musk, who has made a name for himself with his attempt to buy Twitter in the past weeks, suspended the purchase last week. Announcing that he would later sell his SpaceX shares to his employees, Musk recently met with Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
A photo shared by Widodo, who met with Elon Musk at the Stargate SpaceX building, soon became a phenomenon on social media. The main thing that stood out in the photo was that the donuts standing next to Musk were served in the heat shield of the Stargate rocket.

These plates, which Musk shared his tests in 2019 and can withstand heat up to 1376 °, will serve as heat protection shields of the Stargate space rocket, which will be used in SpaceX’s Mars mission. However, in the photo, it was remarkable that Musk used this heat shield like a serving plate.
While some users accused Musk of ‘not valuing his work’, many users congratulated him for using these heat shields in various ways other than their purpose, due to Musk’s different thinking.
A Futurism writer reached out to a SpaceX employee and asked if the object in the photo was really a heat shield. SpaceX employee Sid Chambers confirmed that it is indeed a heat shield.
Following the use of the heat shield as a serving plate, neither Musk nor Widodo made any statement on the subject.
