READING NOW Is Samsung developing a special processor for future models of the Galaxy S Series?

A few months ago, Galaxy S22 users accused Samsung of slowing more than 10 thousand applications. In response, the South Korean technology company explained that the problem was caused by the Game Optimization Service (GOS) and that restricting apps was necessary to prevent overheating and optimize battery life. The company, which promised to fix the problems with a software update, apparently identified the source of the problem, but also realized that it cannot be completely fixed with a software update.

The software update will do nothing but give users more control over performance when running applications. Saying that the problem appears in the application Processor of both Samsung’s own Exynos and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the experts found the solution in developing an Application Processor specific to the Galaxy S series.

Samsung’s mobile division chief, Roh Tae, said that a dedicated Application Processor will be made for the Galaxy S series, but did not elaborate further on how it would differ from Exynos. On the other hand, Ice Universe, which is famous for its leaks, claims that the new processor, which will be exclusive to Samsung’s Galaxy phones, will be used in the Galaxy S25, which will be released in 2025.

Thus, we can think that the problem will actually be solved in the Galaxy S25 and that Samsung will not introduce its new processor before 2025.
