Due to the embargo imposed by the USA, which caused it to take similar decisions in some of its major countries, Huawei’s flagships are launched with only 4G support. However, most of the flagships and even mid-range phones introduced today have 5G support.

Powered by Kirin 9000 and equipped with a 6.6-inch OLED display, the Huawei P50 Pro model also has 4G support, although it is a flagship. However, thanks to the developed case, it has become possible to use 5G technology on this device. As you can imagine, this case was not developed by Huawei.

5G case developed for Huawei P50 Pro

The case, which is produced by Soyealink and currently supports Huawei P50 Pro, is expected to be produced for other Huawei phones if there is interest. When we first saw this cover, which has a price of 120 dollars, we left its design aside, how does it work? We asked the question.

Inside the case is a 5G modem (under 6GHz, NSA+SA) and a compatible eSIM, as well as a dual-core processor clocked at 1.35GHz to run things. The entire process, from eSIM installation to settings, is carried out from the phone manufacture and there is even a signal indicator in the status bar.

The 5G connection support of the modem in the case is as follows;

  • SA:N1, N3, N41, N77 / 78, N79, N28.
  • NSA:B3 + N41, B3 + N78, B3 + N79, B1 + N78, B39 + N4, B41 + N79, B39 + N79, B5 + N78, B8 + N78.

So when you put on this case and do the installation process, it’s very easy to feel like your phone has 5G support as standard. With a thickness of 3.2 mm and a weight of 52 grams, the outer part of the case is made of polyurethane with a leather-like texture. The phone communicates via the USB port and receives power.
