Baykar Teknoloji recently shared new images from Bayraktar Vertical Take-off Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (DİHA). Bayraktar DİHA, which was announced in 2019 and carried out test flights last year, is expected to enter service this year.

Operational video of Bayraktar DİHA was shared

Bayraktar DİHA can perform vertical landing and take-off thanks to its four electric motors. After taking off, it switches to cruise mode and acts as a normal UAV. The vertical landing and take-off feature greatly increases the usage areas of Bayraktar DİHA, as the vehicle, which does not need any long runway, will take part in various platforms, especially TCG Anadolu.

Bayraktar DİHA features

Bayraktar DİHA stands out with its 150 kilometers communication range and 12 hours of airtime. Designed for reconnaissance and intelligence activities, the vehicle can perform automatic cruise flight, autonomous take-off, autonomous landing and semi-autonomous cruise flight. Having a maximum cruise speed of 80 knots, DİHA can also reach a maximum height of 15,000 feet. On the other hand, if we come to the dimensions of Bayraktar DİHA, we see that its wingspan is 5 meters and its length is 1.5 meters.
