Publishing the new version of the iOS operating system, Apple did not offer all the planned features to the user from the first day. It was not included in iOS 15, some for strategic reasons, some because it was not ready. However, this does not mean that innovations are shelved.
The innovations of the iOS 15 update were shared with the press long before. In the version released today, it was seen that some features were not in the system. Here are the innovations that are not available in the 15th version of iOS, but will welcome us in the coming days!
SharePlay
Apple, which is trying to improve FaceTime, will be able to share screen thanks to this feature. Following in the footsteps of applications such as Zoom and Meet, the company will also allow users to watch songs and videos together.
The feature sent to developers and Beta version was removed in iOS 15 Beta 6. In a statement, the company stated:
SharePlay is deprecated in Developer Beta 6 versions of iOS 15, iPadOS 15, and tvOS 15. It will also be disabled in the upcoming Beta 6 release of macOS Monterey. SharePlay will be enabled for reuse in future Developer Beta releases and will be made public in later software updates this fall.
ID Cards
In iOS 15, which will include the ‘Wallet’ application, users will be able to add their ID cards. In this way, you will be able to show your cards such as driver’s license and ID from the phone at the points that support it. This feature is also not included in the first version of the new update.
App Privacy Report
Apple, which is trusted by many people for security, is also improving itself in the new version. Through the ‘Application Privacy Report’, it will be possible to see which data and sensors each application has accessed in the last seven days. The feature will be in the Settings menu in upcoming releases.
Detailed 3D Navigation
Another feature that will be included in iOS 15 in the coming days is detailed 3D navigation. This location application, which can be used in CarPlay, will appear in certain cities. According to the descriptions, this 3D Maps application will feature an interactive world, improved search and detailed buildings.
Legacy Contacts
‘Legacy Contacts’, which Apple tested until iOS 15 Beta 4 but later removed, includes death cases. Within the scope of the Digital Heritage program, users can give their relatives consent to access their accounts and data in case of death. After this approval, if the person dies, his data and account are shared with the people he has determined.
Universal Control
One of the most exciting features of the new update is ‘Universal Control’. This innovation aims to enable you to use Mac and iPad together with a single keyboard. In this way, two different devices can be used from a single point. Users will have to wait for the end of the year for this feature. Because Universal Control will be able to work with macOS Monterey.
The innovations mentioned above will be offered to iPhone models with iOS 15. 1 or iOS 15. 2. Plans are for all of them to go public by the end of the year.
