With the introduction of smartphones into our lives, applications that violate users’ data and pose risks have begun to emerge. Even though the Play Store is constantly working in this area and deleting Android apps that violate data, they somehow come back.
Play Store removed some apps specifically spying on March 25. But some data breaching apps are now back. Recently, many applications based on bank passwords and money transfer issues have been discontinued. Now, a new list of data breaching apps has emerged. So, which apps pose a risk to Android users? Let’s take a look at the new list together.
60 million people affected by Android apps!
While malicious android apps aren’t exactly popular, the number of affected users is quite high. Although the data is not completely clear, it is estimated that 60 million people have downloaded the applications.
The list of malicious applications is as follows:
- Speed Camera Radar
- Al-Moazin Lite (Prayer Times)
- Wi-Fi Mouse (Remote Controlled Computer)
- QR and Barcode Scanner
- Qibla Compass – Ramadan 2022
- Weather and Time
- Handcent Next SMS-MMS with Text
- Smart Kit 360
- Quran MP360- 50 Reader and Translation Voice
- Full Quran MP3- 50+ Languages and Translation
- Audiosdroid Sound Studio
Although the apps turn out to be data breaches, it tries a lot to avoid suspicion and look legit. One of them is the trojan horse method. Applications are hidden by entering into another application with this method.
