Apple appeared with the 5th generation iPad Air at the Peek Performance event organized today, on March 8th. The first generation of iPad Air was introduced in 2013, the second generation of iPad Air was released in 2014. The technology giant, which offered the 3rd generation iPad Air for sale in 2019, announced the 4th generation iPad Air a year later. Now the series, which hasn’t been updated for two years, is back with the 5th generation iPad Air. In addition, Apple came up with many new products at the event.
5th generation iPad Air features: With the Apple M1 chip
Generation iPad Air, the most important innovation was on the processor side. While Apple uses A-series chips in all current iPad Air models, the new iPad Air is powered by the Apple M1 chip, which is also used in the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. With the M1 chip, the device works 60 percent more performance than the iPad Air 4. And on the graphics side, it offers twice the performance.
The 5th generation iPad Air, which has a 12 Megapixel Ultra Wide Angle camera on the back, also has 5G connection support. It is also compatible with Magic Keyboard and Smart Folio and has Apple Pencil support. The new iPad Air 5 comes with 64GB and 256GB storage.
