Video games have been part of the tech world for over 60 years. With the development of technology, games consisting of pixels have left their place to graphics that are almost as impressive as the real world over the years. One of the important parts of this long-term story is the console named 2600, which Atari put on sale in 1977.

Recently, a Reddit user managed to fit a small gaming computer into the Atari 2600, a 45-year-old game console. This little monster, which does not seem to be a gaming computer from the outside, can easily open games such as Witcher 3 and GTA 5.

Game can be played on a 45-year-old console

Reddit user J0hnnyMeh stated in his post on Reddit that he removed the internal parts of a completely original Atari 2600 and placed a powerful computer inside. Stating that the internal parts of this console, which is a historical monument, are completely unusable and irreparable, Johnny states that he cannot put a video card in the console due to its dimensions.

Equipped with AMD Ryzen 5 5600G processor and Vega 7 internal graphics card, this mini computer also has 16 GB RAM and 1TB Nvme SSD. J0hnny, who uses a special production motherboard of the ASRock brand so that all parts can fit, states that he also produces some parts in a 3D printer to fix the hardware and provide heat control.

Of course, although it is not the most powerful gaming computer today, this computer can play games such as Witcher 3, Need for Speed Heat and GTA 5 without any problems, according to its hardware features.
