There are millions of people who are fed up with the pandemic, both in our country and in the world. One of our greatest hopes to leave this pandemic behind is vaccination. As in the past, there are people who are against vaccines and react to being vaccinated.
Of course, the opponents of the vaccine have various claims of their own. Although there are many studies and explanations about how far these claims are from reality and how wrong the arguments put forward are, some of the claims are self-refuting the first time you hear them. Some of the features that are claimed to “gain” as a result of vaccination are as follows:
The joy of being Iron Man with the Aghas:
“Vaccines have microchips, Bill Gates is behind it”
This is the claim of those who say that people will be fitted with microchips and their every move will be followed with these microchips, and society will be brought under control. Those who want to make the claim of Bill Gates, which is by far the most popular claim, even more colorful, say, “Now Gates has been accepted, he will go behind the scenes, he will become the illuminati.” If we get enough vaccinations, with the microchips and nano parts we collect, maybe we can become Tony Stark, who founded a team called the illuminati in Marvel comics.
Let’s be Mystique from the X-Men: Genetic modification skill
“Vaccines disrupt our genetics, play with our DNA”
With the use of mRNA technology in vaccines, those who say “the vaccine comes and plays with our DNA, it always spoils our genes” have sprung up. The mRNA produces copies of the spinous prominences of the coronavirus, and our body learns how to destroy these structures. Otherwise, mRNA is a structure once outside the cell nucleus. Our DNA is inside the cell nucleus. I mean, that’s how I got vaccinated, my DNA is broken, things like that are not real. If we could change our gene structure.
We’re like bombs, time bombs
“Maybe it is not clear now, but the side effects will come in the future”
The claim that the effects of the vaccine will appear in the future, and that the results we do not observe today will hurt us in the future. Although this issue is not a developed hypothesis, the side effects of vaccines do not appear after three or five years. A significant portion of those who make claims also distort science. Causality and correlation are two different things. There is also a correlation between the number of drownings and the number of Nicholas Cage films, but one is not the cause of the other. In the future, we will not suddenly turn into different creatures, we will not become zombies.
Shouldn’t we be magneto?
“Vaccines make us magnetic.”
Another conspiracy theory claims that coronavirus vaccines make people magnetic. Especially on TikTok, the videos that some people took by sticking objects on their bodies had been on the agenda for a long time. We can stick some things on our body as an illusion trick. We can use even more tricks on video footage. In fact, we can hold almost anything on us by using the chemicals our body secretes and friction. The most important indicator that this claim is not true is that nothing has changed in the lives of people who have been vaccinated. However, I would like to be Magneto, instead of pulling the traffic, I could fly everywhere or something, but unfortunately it did not happen.
Vaccines do not change anyone’s genetic code, we do not acquire strange magnetic properties. There are many studies that prove the opposite of these claims.
