Crypto payment service provider BitPay signs with four new companies and expands to millions of users around the world as Shiba Inu (SHIB) payment method.
Shiba Inu goes global with BitPay’s new partnerships
Crypto payment processor BitPay announced that it has signed two new exchanges and two new wallets. Popular crypto firms Bitso, Bitstamp, Edge and Guarda are adopting the direct payment protocol. Bitso and Bitstamp, the two leading cryptocurrency exchanges based in Mexico and Luxembourg respectively, each have more than four million customers worldwide. In addition to new partners, BitPay is already used by Blockchain Wallet, the world’s largest self-storage wallet. BitPay’s Payment Protocol is automatically activated for in-store and online purchases at Verifone’s 600,000 merchants with 35 million devices.
Businesses now accept crypto payments via BitPay and can receive payments from over 200 million crypto users. Since its debut, Bitpay has handled over $5 billion in payments to tens of thousands of businesses around the world. It officially began supporting the Shiba Inu coin in late 2021.

Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum (ETH), DogeCoin (DOGE), Litecoin (LTC), Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) and Other cryptocurrencies such as stablecoins (BUSD, DAI, GUSD, USDC) are also supported via Bitpay. In recent weeks, Porsche Towson, Baltimore’s only private Porsche hub, has partnered with cryptocurrency payment processor BitPay to accept other altcoins, including Shiba Inu. The Shiba Inu gained a lot of attention after the long-awaited listing on the Robinhood exchange in early April.
