Apple introduced the M2 processor at the WWDC22 event it held recently. Some features of the Apple M2 Pro processor, which is expected to be announced next year, have emerged.
Apple M2 Pro features started to become clear
It was claimed that Apple would introduce M2 and M2 Pro processors at the WWDC22 event. Only the Apple M2 was introduced at the presentation on June 6th.
Analyst Jeff Pu has announced that Apple Silicon chip production for the M2 Pro, which TSMC undertook, will take place in the third quarter of this year. The processor, which will be produced with 3nm technology, will have high performance and low power consumption. It is worth remembering that the Apple M2 processor, introduced recently, is 5nm.
It has been revealed that Apple has been working on a Mac mini model with M2 Pro processor in the past months. The Mac mini model, codenamed J474, will come with eight performance cores and four efficiency cores. The Apple M2 Pro, which is stated to have a total of 12 cores, has 2 more cores compared to the M1 Pro introduced last year.
Making a statement about iPad and Mac Pro, Jeff Pu stated that the company will use 3nm processors on both devices. It is not yet known when the new iPad family will be introduced.
Apple AR/VR may come in 2023
Another remarkable leak is the Apple AR/VR headset, which has been on the agenda for a while. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the AR/VR headset will be introduced in the second quarter of 2023. Making a statement on the subject, Jeff Pu claimed that the Apple AR / VR headset will be introduced in February 2023.
