Mexico’s capital, Mexico City (Mexico), has become a hot topic all over the world today with an extremely terrible event. Investigating the home of a serial killer suspect, authorities found 3,787 human bone fragments in the home. It is estimated that all of these bones belonged to 17 different victims in total. Even more frightening, this number is thought not to be limited to this.

Prosecutors stated that they do not think that the victims of the serial killer are limited to this only. As a result of the excavations carried out since May 17, it has been announced that while so much evidence has been found at the moment, other rooms rented in the same property will be searched. The identity cards and some belongings of some people who disappeared years ago were found. This means that the murders can be traced back years.

The killer was caught in the murder of a police chief’s wife:

The number of bone fragments found under the concrete floors in the house indicates that the bodies may have been cut into the smallest possible fragments. The 72-year-old suspect, referred to simply as ‘Andres’ by authorities, was a former butcher and cut his latest victim to pieces. The suspect was asked to stand trial for a 34-year-old woman whose body was dismembered with a butcher’s hacksaw and knife on May 14.

The arrest of the murderer was not only the result of meticulous work. The woman alleged to be the murderer’s last victim was the wife of a police chief. The victim went shopping the day she disappeared, and the killer was with her. The chief of police began to suspect this person when his wife did not return because of this.

Examining the security cameras, the chief of police realized that his wife had entered the street where the murderer lived, but never came out of that street again. The cops went to the suspect’s house and found the mutilated body of the police chief’s wife. Things got bigger after that.

Very old videotapes found, discontinued in 2007:

A search of the house found women’s clothing, voter IDs, and audio and video recordings suggesting he may have recorded his victims. Home video tapes ranged from 8mm tapes, which were discontinued in 2007. In total, 28 8mm tapes and 25 VHS tapes were discovered. VHS tapes, on the other hand, have not been used much since 2016.

Among the items disclosed were 91 photos, eight mobile phones, jewelery and make-up items. Efforts to extract DNA from bone fragments to identify victims are still ongoing.
