The Unicode Consortium approves some new emojis on a regular basis. The received emojis are coming to Android and iOS operating systems in the next process. Recent developments reveal that we can meet 31 emoji in 2023. Let’s take a closer look at the new emojis that are in the approval phase of the Unicode Consortium.
As a matter of fact, not all emojis under approval are new and unique. As in previous years, some of the emojis that are likely to be published next year have increased the number due to the fact that they contain different skin colors. The unique ones are less numerous.
Emojis expected to be available in 2023 are as follows:
As you can see above; An emoji with a quick nod to both sides, deer head, goose, wing, jellyfish, hair side, fan, a new Wi-Fi emoji, pea, yam, and a crow looks set to be available next year. We also see that a hand that makes a stop sign will be among the new emojis.
It should be noted that the emojis served by Emojipedia are not final versions. If these emojis are approved by the Unicode Consortium, we’ll wait for Apple and Google’s response. With the decision they will take, companies will have determined the final versions of the above emojis.
