Micron 9400 NVMe SSD specifications
Micron has announced its 9400 NVMe SSD, which will be used mostly by data centers. The new SSD, which is in mass production and available to global OEM and channel partners, can be used in high-end storage capacity servers such as data centers using artificial intelligence development, machine learning and HPC software packages. The Micron 9400 NVMe SSD offers 30TB of storage capacity and a 77% improvement in I/O operations per second. The company claims to offer incredible performance over workloads compared to its competitors.
“High performance, capacity and low latency are critical features for organizations looking to maximize their investment in AI/machine learning and supercomputing systems,” said Alvaro Toledo, Micron vice president of data center storage. and says the Micron 9400 provides it.
Micron says that thanks to its outstanding performance with 30TB capacity and over 1 million IOPS in mixed workloads, the SSD collects larger datasets on each server, accelerating machine learning training, and the user will get more efficiency from the GPU.
Micron 9400 comes with U.3 connector, 2.5 inch form factor and uses PCI Express Gen4 x4 and NVMe 1.4 interface. NAND flash memory uses 176 layers of 3D TLC. The company offers a 5-year warranty on new SSDs. Micron 9400 Max 3DPWD; The 9400 Pro has an endurance of 1 DWPD. No explanation was given about the price.
