According to the data of the Kandilli Observatory, an earthquake of 3.1 magnitude occurred in the Kağıthane district of Istanbul at around 3:15 am. The earthquake in question occurred at a depth of 12.1 km according to Kandilli Observatory data and at a depth of 10.66 km according to AFAD data. The noise caused by the earthquake caused great panic.

Making a statement after the earthquake, Istanbul AFAD Provincial Director Ercan Akar stated that 112 ACM and Afad News Center did not receive any negative notices.
