The Shiba Inu has witnessed several developments in the last 24 hours. These developments include attending an event, whale movements and SHIB burnings. Participation in the event is very important for the adoption of Shiba Inu’s upcoming game ‘Shiba Eternity’.
Shiba Inu game consultant attends this event
Shiba Inu game consultant William Volk has announced that he will be attending Gamescom, the world’s largest video game trade show. The Gamescom event will take place from August 24 to 28. Volk recently announced on Twitter that he will attend the fair. Accordingly, the consultant aims to showcase the Shiba Inu play-and-win (P2E) game called Shiba Eternity at the fair. Gamescom is an annual video game trade fair in Cologne, Germany.
The event is organized by an association of the German video game industry. A portion of Gamescom is devoted to video game development called Devcom. The fair ranks as the largest game event in the world with its exhibition area and number of visitors. Accordingly, 370,000 visitors attended the fair in 2018, while 1,037 exhibitors from 56 countries took part. Volk hopes to drive general adoption of Shiba Eternity when the game finally releases.
Explosion in Shiba Eternity adoption
Shiba Inu game developers predict that Shiba Eternity will be widely adopted. Therefore, they increased their server capacity by 50x to increase the number of players entering the game. “Wow, we had to increase game server capacity 50x to deal with players from Vietnam test launch,” Volk said in a tweet.
105 million SHIB burned in the last 24 hours
The Shiba Inu community has burned 105.08 Million Shiba Inu (SHIB) in the last 24 hours. “1Cent Token,” one of the leading Community-led burning initiatives, destroyed 40 Million Shiba Inu and 130 BONEs in two separate transactions. SHIB BURN account shared the last burns. Accordingly, he stated that the Shiba Inu community performed 23 separate transactions in the last 24 hours. They sent 105,084,459 (105.08M) SHIBs to dead wallets in the aforementioned 23 transactions.
1Cent was the startup that burned the most Shiba Inu tokens in the last 24 hours. However, on August 22, 1Cent held its Weekly Burning Event. As a result, it sent a total of 40,000,000 (40M) SHIB to “inferno” addresses in one significant transaction. At the same time, the project carried out another action. In this transaction, a total of 130 BONE tokens, which are the management tokens of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, were burned.
Whales keep selling SHIB
On-chain data platform WhaleStats shared that SHIB has dropped to #4 on the list of the most popular tokens among Ethereum whales. This decline was the result of whale sales that continued for several days. As we reported as Kriptokoin.com, Ethereum whales made another sale on Monday. After the sales, the top 100 Ethereum whales were holding $159 million worth of SHIB.
However, sales continued. Today, whales have sold another 1.5 trillion SHIBs. At the time of this writing, they are holding $140 million in Shiba Inu in their wallets. In fact, the whales made the last 1.5 trillion sale after the meme coin posted a 3% gain. This small price increase was enough to stabilize the profit from the sale of large volumes of coins.
