One of the successful players of the smartphone industry, OnePlus continues its work on the successor of the OnePlus 11 model, which it showcased earlier this year, at full speed. Interesting features about the new flagship OnePlus 12 are coming. OnePlus 12, whose key features have been leaked once again, will come with 24 GB of RAM, unlike the 16 GB of RAM that is said.
How will the flagship OnePlus 12 be?
The OnePlus 12 is expected to launch in January, a year after the OnePlus 11. According to the generally very reliable Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the OnePlus 12 will be a special beast. It will use a curved screen manufactured by a Chinese company that will support dimming by high-frequency pulse width modulation and will apparently be built on a new substrate technology.
OnePlus’ new flagship will feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with 24GB of RAM. In previous leaks, it was said that it would include 12 or 16 GB of RAM. This time, however, things have changed a lot. We are also greeted by striking numbers in terms of batteries. So much so that the battery will be 5,400 mAh with support for 100W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Coming to the camera area, the main camera will use a new, as yet unannounced 50MP Sony IMX9xx sensor, alongside OnePlus’ first 50MP ultra-wide camera and 64MP 3x periscope telephoto camera. The phone will have an ultra-thin optical fingerprint reader embedded in the screen as well as a metal middle frame.
For the phone’s performance, it is also said to have a “super-wide” heat dissipation area. In other words, the new flagship will perform well in activities that tire the phone, such as games, and will not get hot. According to previous rumors, the screen size will be 6.7 inches, the refresh rate will be 120 Hz and the resolution will be QHD +. At least 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage, 32MP selfie camera and Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 are also expected.
