Mini introduced the new electric Cooper model. Mini Cooper EV, which will show itself at IAA 2023 on September 5, has been revealed with all its details today. Here’s the all-electric Mini Cooper EV with a range of 402 kilometers.
Small and fast!
Mini, which continues its existence within BMW, introduced the new all-electric Cooper model today. The Mini Cooper EV, which comes out with a three-door version, will be presented to the market with two models called Cooper E and Cooper SE. The difference between these models is the engine options.
According to the statements, the Cooper E will have an electric motor that produces 181 HP and 290 Nm of torque under the hood. Thanks to this engine, Cooper E, which accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.3 seconds, will travel 305 kilometers with a full charge. The slightly more powerful Cooper SE has 214 HP and 330 Nm of torque. In this way, Cooper SE, which accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.7 seconds, offers a range of 402 kilometers.
The design of the Mini Cooper EV
When we look at the front of the vehicle, we see that the indispensable round lines of the Mini are also used here. Coming with round LED headlights, the Cooper EV looks like a human face when viewed from the front due to the structure of the grille. When we move to the side, Cooper EV, which does not look much different from the Cooper models we are used to, draws attention with its rim design. However, the rear stop design sets the Cooper EV apart from other Cooper models.
Mini Cooper EV, which does not promise a big trunk due to being a small single-door vehicle, has a trunk volume of 200 liters. This area, which reaches up to 800 liters when the seats are folded down, cannot be said to be very useful. However, it is worth mentioning that the front two seats are quite roomy. Cooper EV, which does not feel lacking in performance driving thanks to its light-colored sports seats, makes driving more enjoyable with its new three-spoke steering wheel design.
We can say that Mini, which made many simplifications on the front, only used the gear control unit physically. Cooper EV, which allows to make all other settings from its 9.44 inch screen, offers a very easy use with the “Hey Mini” command. In addition, the color of the screen can change with the interior ambient lights of the vehicle.
In general, the Cooper EV, which has similar designs with the electric CountryMan, has a really stylish and modern design. Although the price of the vehicle is not clear for now, explanations will be made about the price very soon. What do you think of the Mini Cooper EV? You can express your ideas in the comments.
