Nissan GT-R R35, which has been with us since 2007, has arrived until 2023 with minor innovations. The GT-R R35, which witnessed the biggest innovation ever in the 2017 model year, is getting ready to receive another major update with the 2024 model year.

Nissan GT-R continues to evolve in terms of design and performance

The iconic car, nicknamed Godzilla, is witnessing important innovations in terms of both design and performance for the 2024 model year. The new model, which debuted with the 2023 Tokyo Motor Show, brought Nismo and T-spec versions with it.

When we examine the renewed model, the change in the front grille draws attention first. It is possible to say that the V-shaped part, which we are used to seeing in Nissan models, is removed from the front grille, resulting in a more aggressive image. Now we see the GT-R R35 one step closer to the R34, with a wider-looking front grille.

The honeycomb-shaped LED lighting group on both sides of the front bumper adds a different look to the renewed model. It is also stated that the grilles at the front air intake have been thinned to minimize friction and better cooling performance.

At the rear, the changes were much more limited. While the iconic quad taillight group gets a new graphic, the stylish titanium exhaust outlets of the vehicle reveal a very beautiful image with their blue colored tips. In addition to these, it is stated that the lines of the vehicle are softened and aerodynamically more efficiency is increased. Nissan explained that with all these design changes, better downforce is achieved while keeping the drag coefficient at 0.26 cd.

Under the hood, Nissan continues to use the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine. This unit, which can produce 573 horsepower and 672 Nm of torque, transfers its power to all four wheels with a 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

When we switch to the Nismo version, which will be at the top of the model range, it has a different and aggressive bumper unlike the standard model. We see that carbon fiber details are frequently used in the vehicle, which is equipped with an aggressive diffuser at the rear. Inflated and ventilated front fenders, on the other hand, make the vehicle feel like a special model. The rear wing, which has 10 percent more surface area, completes the sporty model. Nismo also brings with it the new Stealth Gray color.

The engine under the hood of the Nissan GT-R Nismo can produce 608 horsepower and 651 Nm of torque. In addition to the more powerful engine, it is also possible to talk about a specially tuned suspension setting in the Nismo version, which has a new limited slip differential.

Along with the renewed model, the T-spec version is also re-entering our lives. Based on the standard GT-R R35 Premium, the version will take the stage in Millennium Green and Midnight Purple colors, referring to the past. In addition, gold-colored wheels and carbon ceramic discs are among the details that distinguish this special model.

Although it has been in production for a long time, the Nissan GT-R R35, which still manages to look beautiful and perform superior, seems to be with us for a while. So what do you think about the new Nissan GT-R R35? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
