Ford, one of the leading names in the automotive industry, recently came to the fore with the facelift 2023 Kuga model. After the Kuga, whose production started in 2008, today the model, which dates back to a much older history, appeared with a more make-up.
Ford Taurus, which has been discontinued for a while in most of the world, is preparing to show itself with a special make-up that will appeal to the Middle East market, where it sells well. We can say that the 2023 Ford Taurus will make the asphalt cry, but this would be an incomplete information because the vehicle can even drive in the desert! Now, without further ado, let’s take a look at the rebirth of Taurus together.
Ford Taurus, born in 1986, has been completely renewed
Ford Taurus, the first production of which dates back to 1986 and swept the world for a while, was almost reborn with its facelift. The classic design, owned by Taurus for about 36 years, was blended with a slightly more sporty and charismatic look in the 2023 model. Undoubtedly, the most striking features in terms of design are; headlights, grilles and the ‘Taurus’ lettering made more remarkable. Of course, these modern lines on the exterior of the vehicle continue under the hood.
The 2.0-liter gasoline powered EcoBoost engine and 8-speed automatic transmission, which we are used to seeing from Ford, has been adapted to today’s conditions. With this change, we can say that they became brothers with Ford’s SUV model Evos with its engine.
When we come to the interior of the vehicle, there is a 12.3-inch instrument panel with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, which we see in many vehicles today. Blind spot warning system, adaptive cruise control and driving assistant, which have become indispensable for vehicles, are among the features included in the standard package. When we come to the optional features; panoramic glass roof and wireless charging tray can be optionally added to the vehicle.
It will make the deserts cry, not just the asphalt!
With this makeover of Taurus in the Middle East, it is expected to be appreciated by many customers in the region. In the company’s statements, it was stated that the vehicle successfully passed a series of durability tests specific to the climatic conditions of the region.
Ford International Markets Manager Ziyad Dallahah in his statement on the subject, “The comfort of our customers is the most important thing for us. That’s why we tested the toughness of the Taurus in extreme conditions. Sand and dust are the worst enemies of the engine and interior parts. On top of that, when hot air is added, you can see that the vehicles have serious problems. But we have successfully tested the robustness of all parts of the Taurus. The model was developed to adapt to the conditions of the region,” he said.
Ford Taurus, with this new make-up that brings together the old and the new, seems to mix the Middle East market with this renewed version. It is also very nice that the Taurus is still not forgotten even though it has been 36 years since its first production year. Of course, it was a nice thought that it had to undergo tests specific to the conditions of the Middle East region, where it is highly preferred. The new Ford Taurus, which will take its place in the market in the coming days, has already managed to attract great attention with all these features.
