200 MP camera, 144 Hz Screen: Redmi Note 13 Pro+ received another flagship feature!

Flagship smartphones are credited with being on the cutting edge of technology. As this technology matures, we see ambitious mid-range smartphones come to the fore and offer innovative features to users. After features such as AMOLED and high refresh rate displays, Xiaomi will offer the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus mid-range phone with IP68 certification.

According to the latest information officially shared by Redmi’s Product Director Wang Teng Thomas, Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus will have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus can stay under fresh water to a depth of 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes. Of course, as you know, things change in salty waters such as the sea.

As with almost every phone with an IP rating, the warranty terms and user manual, which none of us have read, state that water damage is not included in the warranty, so it’s worth noting that you should still be careful. It’s not yet clear whether the rating will be applied to other phones in the series or if the feature will be reserved for the higher-end “Pro Plus” model.

However, it is generally expected that this feature will be exclusive to the Pro Plus model. In addition, the phone will support the “Rain Water Touch” feature featured on the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, making it easier to use the phone in the rain.

Redmi Note 13 series is launching in China on September 21, 2023. While the Pro Plus variant will have the new Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, the Pro variant will have the Dimensity 7200 Ultra processor. Other important features expected in these phones include a curved OLED screen in the Pro Plus model and a 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor for the main camera. The phone is also expected to come to markets outside China.
