Electronic Arts announces new Marvel game
Portal with RTX
Nvidia released the first images from Portal’s ray tracing update at its GTC event. In the video, the game looks just amazing, even though it’s 15 years old. Nvidia stated that every light source in the game, shadows, global illuminations, effects such as fog and smoke, and metal surfaces will have ray tracing technology.
The content that will be released under the name Portal with RTX will be given free of charge to all Portal owners. The project is being developed by Nvidia’s Lightspeed studio, which has previously worked on RTX support for Quake 2 and Minecraft. Although Portal with RTX contains RTX in its name, the content can be run by any graphics card that supports DirectX Ray Tracing and Vulkan Ray Tracing. In addition, Portal with RTX will also support Nvidia’s DLSS 3.0 technology. You can see the trailer of Portal with RTX, which is expected to be released in November, below, and you can access it on the Steam page here.
