Honor introduced the Honor X40 GT in October last year. Now it wants to add a “Racing Edition” model to it. The release date and technical details of the Honor X40 GT Racing Edition model, which is stated to have a 144 Hz high-resolution screen and game-oriented performance features, have been announced.
Honor X40 GT Racing Edition release date: September 21
According to the company’s own announcement, the phone will join the X40 GT family on September 21. While the regular X40 GT will be offered in three color options, the X40 GT Racing Edition will be available in two versions. Both versions feature vertical stripes running the length of the rear panel, like the Racing Black version of the standard model. But the text “Matrix AI Vision Camera” is on the placed strip. The camera is not around the island.
Honor has not yet detailed the hardware differences between the standard X40 GT and the Racing Edition. However, some leaks about the phone suggest that the Racing Edition will come with 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage, unlike the regular model with two memory options: 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB.
If the rest of the phone’s specifications remain the same as the X40 GT, it will feature Snapdragon 888 SoC, Android 12-based Magic UI 6.1 and a 6.81″ 144Hz FullHD+ LCD. Besides, it will have a 4,800 mAh battery with 66W charging, will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and will have four cameras: 50MP primary, 2MP macro, 2MP depth and 16MP selfie.
There are only two days left until the launch and we will have information about the technical specifications, price and in which countries the Honor X40 GT Racing Edition will be on sale. As new details about the phone emerge, they will continue to be published on our site. But these are what is known for now.
