Sony introduced the new PS5 model, which will be unofficially called PS5 Slim, the other day. The company also introduced its new gaming-focused in-ear wireless headset, InZone Buds, for both PC and consoles. Although the new headphones have a slightly large structure, it seems that this size was preferred for long battery life.

Sony InZone Buds features

Sony says the InZone Buds headphones are designed to optimize battery life and deliver audio with the lowest possible latency. InZone Buds support a variety of devices, including PS5, PCs, and mobile devices. Sony also ships the InZone Buds with a USB-C dongle that reduces latency to under 30 milliseconds. When connected to this adapter, up to 12 hours of battery life is achieved. When the device’s box is activated, the times are doubled. In standard use, up to 24 hours of battery life is offered. However, InZone Buds also supports Bluetooth LE Audio.
Sony InZone Buds also stands out with its 360-degree spatial sound features. Sound Field Optimization creates a user-specific hearing profile using the 360 Spatial Sound Personalizer smartphone app. InZone Buds also go a step further with Sound Tone Personalization, which personalizes drivers to their ear canal by playing test sounds and using feedback microphones to measure how sound fills the ear canal. Based on acoustic analysis, the audio is then uploaded to the InZone Hub PC software where further customization can be made to create a truly personalized spatial listening experience with unparalleled spatial audio precision.

For the InZone Buds, which come with four sets of silicone eartips (including an extra-small size), Sony says it uses the same “Dynamic Driver X” audio architecture as its WF-1000X headphones. On the other hand, Sony positions these headphones as strictly gaming-oriented. Yes, there’s active noise canceling (ANC) and ambient sound modes for music and other non-gaming entertainment, but gaming is the primary target here.

Sony InZone Buds price

Sony InZone Buds gaming headsets have two color options: black and white. InZone Buds is already available for pre-order. Sony announced the price of InZone Buds as $ 199.
