We’ve now seen massive heatsinks, fans, and even liquid cooling solutions for these SSDs.Introducing the Viper PV553 M.2 2280 PCIe Gen5 x4 SSD, the first PCIe Gen5 drive at Computex 2023, Patriot offers impressive sequential read speeds of up to 12,400MB/s (12.4GB/s) and 11,800MB using a low-profile heatsink. It made a show of strength by offering write speeds of up to /s (11.8GB/s). Although the cooler is small, it has a fan inside. Frankly, the small fan raises some questions in the minds due to the possible loud noise.
The exact release date of the Viper PV553 PCIe Gen5 x4 SSD is unknown, but the company says it will reveal this information soon. However, it should be noted that this SSD will be in different capacities from 1 TB to 4 TB.
