Steven Paul Jobs (known worldwide simply as Steve Jobs) was born on February 24, 1955 in San Francisco to a family of Syrian refugees and German immigrants. He founded the companies Apple and NeXT, which have had a profound impact on information technology, culture and the lives of hundreds of millions of people around the world.

a’.click()”>View Full Size Steve grew up with his foster parents, Clara Hagopian and Paul Jobs, whom he considers his full family. “They’re my 100 percent real family,” he said. His biological parents didn’t know where their son was, Steve was only 31 with his mother. He met a year later. His stepmother taught Steve to read before he went to school. Steve was a troubled student, his teachers thought he was a joker and his classmates were nerdy. According to his exam results, he was promoted directly from fourth grade to sixth grade.

Founded Apple with Wozniak

In the late 1960s, Jobs became friends with Steve Wozniak, who was five years his senior. They had a passion for music and did musical light shows at school. A few years later, they took the risky business and developed a device that imitated a dial tone and allowed free worldwide phone calls. The device cost $40, and Jobs and Wozniak were selling it for $150. In late 1976 they assembled a computer and founded Apple Computer at Jobs’ home on Christ Drive in Los Altos.

He struggled with the disease for 8 years

Apple bought Jobs’ start-up in 1996 and returned to head the company the following year. Under Jobs’ leadership, Apple released the iPod player alongside refurbished computers and opened the iTunes store, which revolutionized the music market. Apple launched its first iPhone in 2007 and the iPad in 2010, and these products continue to dominate their markets.
