100 smart contracts have been added to the Cardano (ADA) network since the Vasil hard fork upgrade.
Cardano completed the long-awaited Vasil hard fork upgrade on September 23. In particular, the Vasil update that promised to improve network scalability, Plutus Scripts (Cardano-based smart contract platform) continued to grow.
The Number of Smart Contracts on the Cardano Network is Increasing
Cardano, which surpassed the milestones by reaching 3,000 smart contracts at the beginning of August, showed no signs of slowing down after Vasil.
Cardano has grown with 100 new Plutus Scripts added in the two weeks since the Vasil upgrade. The number of smart contracts, which was 3,292 at the time of the Vasil upgrade, increased to 3,392 on October 6.
Data obtained using Cardano Blockchain Insights statistics supports the addition of 100 new smart contracts within 14 days.
As of writing, Cardano has dropped 0.8 percent in the last 24 hours and 2.1 percent from the previous week, according to CoinGecko data. It is currently trading at $0.428 and has a total market cap of $14.5 billion.
