Kara Szabo, a crypto influencer, challenged Canadian billionaire Calvin Ayre with a $100 million bet if Craig Wright can prove that he is Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin.

Although it is not known whether Kara Szabo was serious or not, Calvin Ayre did not actually accept the challenge, but said that Wright’s “domain knowledge and patent portfolio” were enough for him, stating that “history will not be kind” to Szabo.

Satoshi’s identity remains secret

The true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin, has been wondered by the crypto market for more than a decade. In fact, many attempts, logical or illogical, have been made to uncover this.

American journalist and author of the book “The Mastermind” Evan Ratliff stated in an interview in 2021 that the person he believes is the creator of the Bitcoin blockchain is the notorious international criminal Paul Le Roux. He is also the person who sold missile navigation software to the Iranian military.

Others bypassed the research and claimed that Elon Musk, the head of Tesla, SpaceX and X.com, was Satoshi.

However, one of the most controversial theories links Satoshi’s identity to Craig Wright, an Australian computer scientist and businessman who made a public statement in 2015. Additionally, the Wright controversy has spread beyond speculation.

In the current case, the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA), a coalition of some of the most powerful companies in Silicon Valley, has filed a lawsuit against Dr. He wants Wright to declare that he is not Satoshi. COPA v. Wright’s trial is scheduled to begin in mid-January 2024.
